Plugin sealing profiles simply insert into a U shaped channel designed to support the rubber section which generally has a series of ribs or ridges moulded along the outside so that they can grip the inside of the channel. This enables the profile to be fitted quickly and securely with only quite light pressure and without the need for adhesive to locate the gasket. The ends may also be joined at a point along the channel where they may not need to be joined with adhesive.
EMKA extruded rubber insert profiles are available in rectangular or P type sections to ensure an optimal seal on the mating surface – these sections are often installed to a door-mounted channel so that they close onto the outer frame of the enclosure.
